in all their splendour

And these are all the different kinds of gladiolus that i had this summer. The red ones come from the bulb package my mom got me as a present, they were labelled red, but it turned out to be this impossible red :-) beyond fiery, would this be a kind of coral in english?
Gladiolus are a double win: they are snail-proof and also very drought-resistant, they seem to like the hot sandy soil here... But i haven't yet managed to introduce them in a harmonious design with other plants, i have used them mainly for cut flowers...

improbable things

this is a liatris in all its glory, and something else :-)
an impressive visitor of the garden, black-bluish, huge and making a motor-like sound like a plane!

romantika

My first clematis, Romantika is her name :-)
My dream is to see them mixed with climbing roses, as the tradition goes...

the queen

The tuberose is such a special flower for me, truly fascinating, and i have long wanted to witness her miracle other than buying it... But my plan to sit in the afternoon at the garden table, sipping my cup of green tea and getting lost in tuberose fragrance has been shattered by mosquitoes :) that's why i decided to cut it and bring it indoors, at least i can enjoy the fragrance there... but i left the second one in the garden, couldn't bring myself to cut them both...
